TRULY THE MOST SEXY LIPGLOSS BY FAR!
I WAS IN CHICAGO OVER THE WEEKEND AND PICKED UP GLOSSIMER LIPGLOSS BY CHANEL IN  EQUINOX  #107 (SUBTLE LIGHT BURGUNDY COLOR - MY FAVORITE) AND SPARK #04 (DARKER BERRY FOR NIGHT)
THIS SILKY GLOSS IS NOT STICKY AT ALL AND HAS LIGHT REFLECTING PARTICLES THAT GIVE SHINE AND MAKE YOUR LIPS FULLER AND ALLURING. THE COLORS ARE STUNNING. YOU CAN'T HELP BUT FEEL SEXY IN THESE GLOSSES.
VOTED #1 IN 2009 IN INSTYLE MAGAZINE.

I ALSO BOUGHT CHANEL INIMITABLE  MASCARA AND WAS LESS ENTHUSIASTIC. THIS MASCARA DOESN'T POP. IT'S MORE FOR DAYTIME SINCE IT LACKS PRODUCING THICKNESS AND LENGTH TO LASHES. IF YOU LIKE MORE SEPARATION AND A NATURAL LASH, MAYBE THIS ONES FOR YOU. I'M STICKING WITH MY DIOR.

MODERN FRICTION

The fastest and easiest way to obtain a healthy glow.

Truly the most incredible scrub I've tried yet. If you've ever had microdermabrasion (I have once years ago) then you understand how little crystals slough off the dull top layer of your skin and leave it feeling smooth and looking bright and clear. But I felt that it was way overrated, and a bit too harsh for my skin since it didn't need much help to begin with. So a less extensive approach was more suitable for me, like a good face scrub that actually worked. I wanted something gentle but exfoliating enough where I could see a difference..........clean, bright, and radiant skin.
While visiting a friend down in San Diego, we walked into Origins and the salesguy did a demo on the back of my hand with this fascinating and mostly organic scrub.  I was convinced instantly and hooked.  Ever since, I can't get enough of Modern Friction from Origins. It works like no other scrub out there. It contains Lemon oil to (truly) brighten your skin after one use. You'll be amazed how your skin glows. Other ingredients are Rice starch to slough away dead skin, aloe to calm , peppermint to stimulate and invigorate, and many other healthy and 'good for your skin' ingredients. This product is killer. No lip service here.

COOL ARTISTS AND INGLOT

Word of advice: No matter how much you think you know about something, never stop learning and researching.

After attending The Makeup Show over the weekend, there were two artists that were stand-outs… Lori Taylor for Smashbox and Kevin James Bennett for Makeup Forever. Both of these lovely people are successful and talented artists, and gave the vibe of sincerity and humbleness. Kevin took the time to “talk makeup” with me more than once, (and is quite funny in his presentations), and Lori introduced various Smashbox products to me along with their latest Halo Powder. These two artists are a beautiful reminder to remain true, respect your peers, and to keep it real no matter how successful one gets.

INGLOT

Over at Inglot Cosmetics I bought a ridiculous amount. After meeting Mr. Inglot founder and chemist, he told me some exciting and yet frightening news.

The exciting news? Inglot is coming to Beverly Center summer 2010!!! (yes, I believe I manifested this one). The frightening news is, I’ll be spending way too much $ over there come summer. But of course this is all for the sake of my clients… uh… yeah.

I love the Freedom System from Inglot. They're palettes that you custom choose which eyeshadows/blushes/ concealers/lipsticks you put in,  and the top and bottom are strongly magnetic so you can stack and pack them perfectly.  So convenient for artists!!

Inglot makeup formulas are incredible. The cream blushes are insane, so  incredibly rich. The gel liner doesn't budge, even after I tested it wearing it to spin class, this stuff sticks! The gorgeous Face and Body Illuminator creates a subtle creamy glow when added high on cheekbones, cupids bow, and inner corner of the eyes. Check it out. There are so many other products  I can blog about from Inglot, but will in future blogs, as I'm becoming an Inglot addict. You will for sure not be able to shut me up about this line.

Mr. Inglot is fierce with developing scents in the creams and liquids. They smell delicious.

This makeup is swiftly climbing up to the top of my list of favorite makeup lines.

BEST ALL AROUND MOISTURIZER- Embryolisse

Embryolisse, a French based moisturizer,  is a must have in any pro makeup artists kit. It's a super hydrating face creme that's great for your clients (especially models) that are constantly washing their faces in between changes. It's a 3 in 1... moisturizer, primer, and great to remove makeup or for  minor touch-ups. It's around $20- $25 depending if you qualify for your pro discount, and a little goes a long way since it's so concentrated. I love this stuff and never without it. I usually buy a bunch at Temptu downtown, (LA) since they honor the discount if you have a Temptu Airbrush Pro Card. If you don't have this in your kit, you're truly missing out on a phenomenal and very effective product.
