All over the world, makeup trends are constantly changing and evolving. As a professional makeup artist, it’s imperative that I stay on top of all the latest trends… No matter how crazy they may seem in theory.
Instagram has been flooded with soft, dewy, and colorful eye makeup looks that resemble the gorgeous technique of watercolor paintings.
So, what’s the prettiest makeup trend kicking off May?
Watercolor eyeshadow, and I’m all for it!
Here are some looks that you should be rocking as the weather gets warmer:
Makeup Inspired by Monet
Makeup is art and this is one fun, artistic look to try.
Simply apply strokes of soft colors together to create a Monet mermaid-inspired look.
Want to channel subdued throwback vibes? Layer in some cool blues and bright oranges.
Pair this eccentric look with a peachy pink glow from Lit Like a Boss Iced Champagne and a low key stunning lip gloss like Zen.
This look is perfect for an everyday situation.
The Bold and Contoured
Get your hands on a subtle orange color, like Maui in the Bosso Emma Sunset Palette- my richly pigmented eyeshadow. Apply the eyeshadow into the crease, inner corner, and lower lash line.
Want an even bolder look? Follow up with a darker orange tone to contour your eyes. Complete this look with bold brows, soft and shimmery glow, and basic nude lip.
Watercolor Metallics
This metallic, dark watercolor eye is a stunning option for a night spent dancing and partying. It doesn’t matter if you’re going to dinner with the love of your life or hitting the club with your best girlfriends.
You will immediately feel sexy, sultry, and smokin’ hot with this look.
Start with a deep shade of purple like Dreamer, and then add Mogul in the inner corners from the Bosso Halle “Berry” Palette . Pat a shimmery emerald shade onto the lid.
For a more finished look, line your bottom lash line with black pencil eyeliner and apply some wispies to your eyelashes.
Aren’t these looks fun? The best part is that these makeup looks are pretty and wearable! The soft and not overly shimmery pastel colors, bold eyeshadow contour, and eccentric metallics are perfect for any skin tone and face shape.
